Quandary Peak – September 10, 2014

Don’t be deceived by descriptions that state Quandary Peak is an “easy 14er”.  To the contrary, we found it to be tough right out of the trailhead and carried through pretty much the whole day. Starting out from the trailhead, the trail winds through a heavily forested area, climbs up fairly steeply from the get-go and is quite an awakening for the ‘sleepy legs’.  It had snowed lightly the night before and was quite foggy as we started, making for a rather chilly start.  It did make for some breath-taking views as we ascended and the clouds began to break-up, revealing the surrounding peaks and valleys.  The warm morning sun felt good and we were able to shake off the morning chill from the damp clouds. My Colorado 14'ers Experience

As I prep for my Annual 14’er hike/camping trip some interesting twists have occurred causing a little last minute change in prep. One buddy was already out w/a bum knee & not wanting to take on the challenge of the planned Maroon Bells 14’ers. Then unfortunately, another buddy just broke his arm but still wants to participate. Now with that on top of the serious Bear situation at  the Maroon Bells area (camp sites closed, food being stolen from campers by bears, my own general unease with camping in an area with lots of bear activity) think tossing & turning & bad bear dreams all night long. With sleeping outside in a tent already a challenge introducing an added ingredient of bear on the mind mentally and the need

You would have to be living under a rock not to know that today’s real estate market is putting people back on top of their fiscal game, and more so, helping them and local communities win the race in economic growth.  And, even if you did live under a rock, your property would sell with enthusiasm as long as it was in a prime location, priced fairly and marketed properly! However, this doesn’t mean that sellers and buyers are not being presented with some challenges in the current market. Even in places like Boulder, Colorado where just about any kind of real estate venture is hot, it takes a skilled Realtor to negotiate a deal that will be satisfying to all parties and close without incident.

Sitting in our new RE/MAX Alliance office space at 1035 Pearl St, I can literally see the tearing down of the old Daily Camera Building across the street. It is very exciting to be working downtown and to watch the new development of an integral part of the Downtown Boulder landscape. Surrounded by some of the most popular restaurants in town, it will be a delight to walk out and have so many lunch options right around me.

The new development across the street will further enhance an already vibrant culture in the west end of the Pearl Street Mall District. Our brand new location here in the “new heart” of Boulder's most exciting development project to date, shows the owners of RE/MAX Alliance Boulder’s forward thinking and commitment to constantly

In the Boulder, Colorado real estate market, agents have to work hard at standing out by offering services that are above and beyond what their clients expect.
